Separate sealed bids for, the Madison Township 2022 Asphalt Road Resurfacing Project, MADISON TOWNSHIP, RICHLAND COUNTY, OHIO will be received by the Madison Township Trustees, at 817 Expressview Dr., Mansfield OH 44905, UNTIL:

7:30 PM LOCAL TIME April 4, 2022

at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope and clearly
marked “BID FOR Madison Township 2022 Road Resurfacing ” along with the company name.

Plans and bid documents shall be obtained at RB Printshop, Inc, (, Telephone: 419-524-2781). The bidder must obtain the plans, specifications, etc. at their own expense and the cost is non-refundable.

The plans and specifications may be obtained on or after March 17, 2022

  • A. Each bidder requesting that a set of plans, specifications, etc. be mailed to the bidder shall pay the additional shipping and handling charges to RB Printshop, Inc.
  • B. The list of those firms or persons obtaining plans and bid documents will be reported at RB Printshop, Inc.
  • C. Bid proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by RB Printshop, Inc.

Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties making the same and all persons interested therein, and must be accompanied, pursuant to Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, by a satisfactory BID GUARANTY: either a BID BOND or a BID AND PERFORMANCE PAYMENT BOND executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount for each individual proposal; OR by a certified check, cashiers check, or a letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount for each individual proposal, payable to Richland County Board of Commissioners as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. All bids shall be approved by Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) and no contract shall be awarded without OPWC approval.

Each bidder must have current ODOT prequalification for Work Type 10, and present their Certificate of Qualification at the time of the bid opening.

Attention of bidders is particularly called to the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
